Photos of Guyana

I am going to start posting pictures of some past cities. I think this will allow me to post more efficiently without having to embed them into the actual day. Itīs not like they are life changing anyways. They are still vacation pictures and who gives a shit about those.

This is the hotel where I stayed in Letham. It is right at the border of Brazil. It was my first ferry crossing of a river.

Letham is in the Gran Sabana area so it is meandering hills. Very picturesque.

The jungle of Guyana which is the most pristine of all South America. No real tourism here.

Hotel Hell in Georgetown. This is the place where I got 42 mosquito bites in one night and the water from the sink smelled like sewage.

The mosquitoes kicked my ass but i got some of them with my exposed arm trick. Those little specks are the bodies of mossies that I laid out on the bed.

These are the open sewers that ran along every street in the town. Disgusting. If you could stand the smell of sewage as well as being accosted by the heat, Georgetown is for you.

Staebrook Market which was in the center of the market area and on the border of the most dangerous places to be in Georgetown and possible South America. Whatever Lonely Planet.

The market area in all its smelly glory. Pretty neat though to walk around and see and smell all that can be bought and sold.

I think this way of posting will be much easier for the photos. I might be able to post them right after the city post so there is more fluidity.
