The church overlooking the market. It is a standard Catholic affair but as the locals had been primarily Mayan, a lot of the ritual is a sort of mix. Throughout the day these sort of shamans (representative of father and mother) kept the aire thick with incense. Fires were built on the steps and it was also covered in flowers and offerings.

If you look closely you can see that the people carrying the heavy Jesus scene are women. They hauled it up the hill and then the Purple guys took over.

Sunday afternoon it all comes down. On monday, the core area still was busy with stuff and there was a few still selling the odd tourist trinkets.
