Everybody was pretty wiped the next day and Matteus who had gone out with us got totally wrecked and was puking the whole morning, so we decided to go to Ciudad del Este for the day as they wanted to check out the whole shopping thing. I was sort of the guide having experienced it a couple of days before, so I told them what to expect. They still wanted to go so we did the bus thing. One negative aspect about the falls area is that you still have to go through immigration each time you left Argentina so my passport was having to be stamped each time I left and again when I came back. Not too happy about that as I would be doing it for four days.

Another six hour bus ride through the same flat lands, some flooded, some just grassy and dry, with cows all over. That was just so you have an idea of why Paraguay is not a top tourist destination. They have no beaches, volcanoes, mountain ranges, etc. What they do have is Jesuit missions. Not a big fan of Jesuit missions, so I can’t say that I took advantage of what Paraguay has to offer.
