Day 99 Manaus, Brasil

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005

You know what is worse than a Sunday in South America, a freaking holiday on monday. Day 98 Manaus, Brasil

Monday, September 5th, 2005

Sundays kind of suck. Everything is closed so you are forced to do nothing. My only duty was to move from the air conditioned room to a fan room. I had gotten the air co room because the single fan rooms were full and she gave me a deal from $30R to $25. The fan rooms were $20R it was a few bucks saved. In the evenings and at night I didn’t use the air co anyways. I went to talk to the lady who said I had to wait for the room to be cleaned so I went and had my usual breakfast. Not knowing what time my room was ready I decided to take advantage of my air conditioned room so I just lazed around until noon. When I went out to ask how much longer, I was told the lady had left. With that I decided I would do a little bit of exploring and then when I got back I would deal with the room. At worse I would stay one more night there and make her give me a price break since I did wait.
