Ethiopia: Bahar Dar to Lalibela. I got fleas.

It took me a while, but I learned. Ethiopian bus rides are kind of like removing a band-aid. You can slowly tear it off and have constant pain for a long time, or you can just give it a yank, scream, and be done with it. What that correlates to on my Bahar Dar to Lalibela leg of my trip is that instead of taking the one 5:30am bus and riding it out for 14-16 hours, I broke it up and went small legs at a time using mini-buses and staying in little villages on the way. To break it down even farther, you get fleas.

The good old Blue Nile Falls or Tis Asis (Smoking water). It is at about 1/3 capacity because of the dam upstream. Occassionally they open up the gates and flood the place out, but didn’t get a chance to see it.
