Still cruising along the north coast of Venezuela. We are stopped now in Cumana, about half way to Caracas. I have decided to go to Caracas and spend a few days there getting squared away. I need to get all my immunizations for Africa and see if I can get a new passport or have pages added to my old one.

I am in South America, thank god.
I woke to the sound of pounding rain, again. I don´t know what the deal is with raining on my travel days, but that shit has to stop. I stood out on the street for a half and hour getting splashed by cars zipping by. It was almost hilarious except it was me getting sploshed. Finally a maxi-taxi pulled up and drove me across the bay to the pier where the boat was.
